Helping you understand how they learn, recognise their strengths and find the right support.

Understanding the whole learner

When a child struggles with reading or spelling, it can be confusing and frustrating — for both the child and their parents.

A dyslexia assessment isn’t just about finding a label, it’s about understanding your child more deeply and giving them the right kind of support to help them thrive.

That understanding alone can be a huge relief, it replaces worry and guesswork with clarity and direction.

Understanding the assessment

A complete assessment
A holistic approach designed to give you clear answers and the right support. I use a carefully selected range of assessment tools to build a complete picture of each individual’s learning profile. Every step is carried out with patience, care and understanding.
A clearer way forward
A dyslexia diagnosis can provide understanding that remains valuable throughout a person's life — from school and college to university and beyond. Your assessment report can provide useful evidence when considering applications such as Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) and educational or workplace adjustments.
All the tests I use are selected meet the Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) guidance, helping to ensure they meet recognised standards of quality and reliability. You can feel confident knowing that your assessment is carried out using trusted, well-established and appropriate tools.
